Mission

Our purpose is to serve the citizens of Dale County with the highest possible level of professionalism, experience, and compassion.

Responsibilities

To coordinate with law enforcement, the District Attorney’s Office, and the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in the determining the cause and manner of death
To assist families with information regarding autopsy and toxicology results
To sign death certificates and forward them on to Dale County Health Department
To collect Dale County death statistics, including motor vehicle crashes (MVCs), overdoses (ODs), suicides, and homicides
Educational speaking for our youth regarding drugs and alcohol, drinking and driving, and other unsafe driving and lifestyle habits
